"The Rest is Uncertain" podcast draws on philosophy and its associated questions and ideas as a lens for exploring a broad range of social, ethical and cultural issues. In the tradition of Socrates, Laurance poses puzzling questions and scenarios, and suggests ways of responding to them. He attempts to model genuine inquiry by seeking answers, while being open to rethinking issues, and admitting when answers seem elusive. We can aim to find the truth while being extremely cautious about proclaiming that we have found it.
